Peter Ludlow is a registered pharmacist formerly of the Princess Alexandra Hospital. In the course of his duties there he interviewed many of the staff and patients of the former leprosarium at Peel Island. He subsequently published its history and that of the Peel Island's Quarantine Station. Since then he has published five volumes of oral history based on Moreton Bay (Moreton Bay People), and a general history of Moreton Bay (Moreton Bay Chronicle), a collected volume (Moreton Bay People - The Complete Collection), and its sequel (Moreton Bay Letters), and a reprint of Peel island - Paradise or Prison.
