Whilst each PHAQ member must adhere to the ACPHA Code of Ethics and Professional Standards for Professional Historians in Australia, PHAQ cannot guarantee that a member will always be suitable for a specific project or task. PHAQ provides this list of consultants in good faith, and with due care, but it reminds those who use it that the PHAQ members named are independent professionals and should be treated as such.
Timothy Bottoms is a professional historian based in Cairns and is the senior partner in NQ Research Associates. He is a specialist in Aboriginal and North Queensland history and has wide experience in writing, producing and presenting radio documentaries and music biographies. He is particularly interested in popularising history.
Neville Buch has published several papers in an international reference book on historic places and history conference publications. In recent years he has provided clients with research reports on a wide range of historical topics, including the Coolullah Pastoral Company and the Melbourne Trust Ltd in the 1920s, teaching appointments in central Queensland, and the work of the Archibald family on the 19th century Ipswich coal fields. The research work for his honours and Ph.D. theses, and more recent research, has given Neville extensive knowledge and experience in researching and analyzing the records and contexts of Protestant religions in Queensland since the late 1800s. His current and specific research projects are:
• the Queensland family histories of Buch, Reid, Lohmann, and Stocker clans;
• the community history of Junction Park State School;
• the local histories of Coopers Plains and the Sunnybank area; and
• the intellectual history of philosophic influences in 20th century Brisbane.

Kay Cohen is an experienced historian specialising in government administration, the history of organisations, and Queensland's history and cultural heritage.
Margaret Cook is a freelance historian who specialises in the history of the built environment and social history.
Val Donovan is a professional historian who is published in Aboriginal, colonial and institutional history and has experience in native title land claims, and a strong interest in heritage studies.
Dr Jonathan (Jack) Ford is a professional historian specialising in military history and the history of Brisbane's various suburbs or buildings.
Jeff Hopkins-Weise is a professional historian and museum officer, who has a strong interest and background in Queensland and Australian, as well as New Zealand and Pacific history.
Lesley Jenkins is a historian with a wide range of interests and skills which include heritage as well as history, the spoken as well as the written word and new media such as the internet.
Janet King is the Director of Queensland Energy Museum and responsible for establishing Memories of Energy Groups (MEGs) and Memories of Energy Trails (METs) throughout Queensland.
Peter Ludlow is a registered pharmacist formerly of the Princess Alexandra Hospital. In the course of his duties there he interviewed many of the staff and patients of the former leprosarium at Peel Island.
Judith McKay is a museum curator, historian and heritage consultant with wide experience in museums, exhibitions, research and writing.
Judith Nissen is a freelance historian with extensive experience in commissioned histories, heritage studies, and museum exhibitions.
Patricia O'Shea is a professional historian and clinical nurse educator of University students.
Judy Gale Rechner is a historian who has specialised in local history, heritage and the built environment. She has become an expert in title searches and identifying the age of houses.
