Consultants specialising in “intellectual history”
Neville Buch has published several papers in an international reference book on historic places and history conference publications. In recent years he has provided clients with research reports on a wide range of historical topics, including the Coolullah Pastoral Company and the Melbourne Trust Ltd in the 1920s, teaching appointments in central Queensland, and the work of the Archibald family on the 19th century Ipswich coal fields. The research work for his honours and Ph.D. theses, and more recent research, has given Neville extensive knowledge and experience in researching and analyzing the records and contexts of Protestant religions in Queensland since the late 1800s. His current and specific research projects are:
• the Queensland family histories of Buch, Reid, Lohmann, and Stocker clans;
• the community history of Junction Park State School;
• the local histories of Coopers Plains and the Sunnybank area; and
• the intellectual history of philosophic influences in 20th century Brisbane.
