Dr JONATHAN (JACK) FORD
Dr Jonathan (Jack) Ford is a professional historian specialising in military history and the histories of Brisbane's suburbs and heritage buildings. He has been employed as a historical consultant by a number of private organisations. Since 2001, he has undertaken contract work with the Heritage Unit of the Brisbane City Council. He has researched and written history citations and has followed the listing process of nearly 200 places on the BCC's City Plan Heritage Register. In 2004, he volunteered his home as the research example contained in the BCC publication Your house has a history - keys to unlocking its past. He has been organised public exhibitions and been an invited guest speaker for various community organisations. He is also a member of the Nundah & Districts Historical Society and the American Civil War Round Table of Qld
